DC Distribution

We also specialize in the design and installation of DC systems tailored to the specific vessel requirements. Our expertise encompasses the calculation of optimal battery bank size to ensure efficient operation. We integrate various charging sources such as alternators and battery chargers, solar, implementing proper source isolation and circuit protection where necessary. Additionally, we offer the option for manual or automatic paralleling based on system needs, providing a comprehensive and customizable solution for your DC power needs on board.

SYSTEM DESIGN

Frequently, we utilize 3-dimensional design before the fabrication process. This approach is particularly valuable in applications like Main Distribution Panels, where 3D design aids in assessing real-world clearances. By leveraging this technology, we can optimize spatial utilization efficiently, mitigating the need for costly rework and ensuring an effective design that aligns with practical considerations.

FAQ

There is no international standard for voltage and frequency of electrical power. If a vessel travels to a country with different electrical standards, plugging directly into their power grid may cause damage to the electrical components on the vessel. A shore power converter will take the host country’s power and convert it to the standard the vessel was built to, eliminating the potential for any damaged equipment.
A/Sea Power System recommend yearly service to remove dirt and debris that may have collected inside during operation. Every three years A/Sea Power Systems recommends replacing all the cooling fans.
Yes, electrically actuated fin stabilizers are more responsive than hydraulic fins. Electric fins can also be turned 180 degrees to prevent the vessel from moving over the anchor during zero speed operation.
