IME Process

  • Inspect vessel to determine best converter package to suit current and future needs of vessel.
  • Provide options for both single and dual shore cord connections.
  • Incorporate seamless transfer into converter installation project,
    when required.
  • Provide annual service of converters to ensure longevity and
    proper operation.
  • Provide previously used converters for sale, when available.

FAQ

There is no international standard for voltage and frequency of electrical power. If a vessel travels to a country with different electrical standards, plugging directly into their power grid may cause damage to the electrical components on the vessel. A shore power converter will take the host country’s power and convert it to the standard the vessel was built to, eliminating the potential for any damaged equipment.
A/Sea Power System recommend yearly service to remove dirt and debris that may have collected inside during operation. Every three years A/Sea Power Systems recommends replacing all the cooling fans.
Yes, electrically actuated fin stabilizers are more responsive than hydraulic fins. Electric fins can also be turned 180 degrees to prevent the vessel from moving over the anchor during zero speed operation.
